How to Maintain Water Cooling Spindle in Winter?
Water-cooled spindle is a type of spindle that comes with a frequency converter to drive the rotor to rotate around the coil (stator), which uses water circulation to cool the heat generated by the high-speed rotation of the spindle (18000 or 24000RPM). After water circulation, the temperature will not exceed 40 degrees, so the cooling effect will be better than the air-cooled spindle during long-term operation. However, due to the low temperature in winter, it is also necessary to pay attention to the freezing of the circulating water and damage to the spindle.
The following four tips deserve our attention:
1. Keep the water-cooling system and water pump working normally, and never cause the water-cooled spindle motor to be short of water.
2. Change the cooling water regularly. In case of high temperature, make sure the cooling water is clean.
3. There should be as much circulating water as possible. If you work for a long time, you can choose to use a large-capacity water tank.
4. In winter, the water in the water tank should be completely drained to prevent the water tank and pipes from rupturing. If possible, use antifreeze for cooling.
Water circulation is the guarantee for the normal use of the water-cooled spindle. We must pay attention to the water level and avoid water shortage. Paying more attention to this detail can provide a good guarantee for our use of CNC routers.
